The Shangri-La Volunteer Program is a community of volunteers working to improve and enrich the lives of Oregonians living with disabilities or disadvantages so they may recognize and achieve their full potential.
We believe every hour of volunteer service is a valuable contribution to our organization. Whether you have an hour of free time a month or ten hours a week, we invite you to join our volunteer team.
What do Volunteers do at Shangri-La?
Share Skills. Increase Capacity.
Play an instrument? Like to read? Have a green thumb? Great at data entry or organizing events? Most volunteer opportunities focus on helping a person with disabilities or disadvantages learn a skill or explore an interest, but we also need extra hands to help in our offices and at our worksites.
As a diverse human services organization, the opportunity to learn or improve skills is endless at Shangri-La. Consider volunteering with us a way to strengthen your resume, brush up on valuable skills, or explore a future career path.
Volunteering is good for the soul. We aim to create a fun and caring environment where each volunteer can give, share, laugh, learn and be rewarded in a way that matters most to them.
