James Lindekugel and Mike Norman join Shangri-La's executive leadership team

Shangri-La welcomes James Lindekugel and Mike Norman as the newest directors joining Shangri-La's executive leadership team. Although new to their director roles, both individuals are familiar with Shangri-La's mission and services, having previously worked in positions within the agency.

James Lindekugel

Director of Employment and Day Services Programs

James oversees Shangri-La's employment and day services programs for individuals with disabilities and families with disadvantages. He joined Shangri-La's executive team in January 2021, but has been with the organization in various roles since 2012.

James is a Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP), a credential awarded by the Association of People Supporting Employment First (APSE) to individuals who have demonstrated a sufficient level of knowledge and skill to provide integrated employment services to a variety of populations.

In addition to his experience in human services, James brings skills in technology management, data analytics, and change management to the team.

"I hope my leadership can help ensure services are consistent, engaging, and relevant to the individuals served by our programs and reflective of the needs of our community."

Mike Norman, QMHA

Director of Behavioral Health

Mike has been a member of the Shangri-La team since 2018 as a case manager in Shangri-La's outpatient mental health clinic. He was hired as the Director of Behavioral Health in February 2021.

Mike oversees Shangri-La's mental health residential program and two outpatient mental health clinics. He has a Master's in Public Administration and a Bachelor's in Social Work. He joins the Shangri-La team with an extensive history of human services experience including child advocacy, case management for numerous underserved populations, and domestic violence recovery.

"I hope to influence service growth, build personal agency and strength within teams and individuals, and make our community impact as big as possible."
