Shangri-La welcomes Rae Reynosa to the organization's board and Andre Veillet as the organization's director of finance.
In April 2021, Rae Reynosa was voted on as the newest member of Shangri-La's board of directors.
Rae has over 36 years of finance, procurement, and human resources experience working for the federal government. She is currently the business manager at the Chemawa Indian School. She is also a member of the Confederated Tribes of the Siletz Indians of Oregon, has operated an adult foster home for many years, and is active in community service activities, including cultural activities and the elder program with her tribe.
"I hope to contribute some of my knowledge and experiences to have a positive impact on services to those Shangri-la supports. I have a grandson who is Autistic so I have a vested interest in the type of services and supports offered by Shangri-La. It would be a privilege to be part of the ongoing growth and development of services that will have a positive impact in the community for years to come."
Andre Veillet also joined Shangri-La in April 2021 as the organization's new director of finance.
Andre has over 17 years experience in accounting and production in the manufacturing sector, most recently as the controller at Xzeres - a clean energy technology company. This is Andre's first venture into the non-profit sector.
He hopes to use his experience to help simply accounting processes and help others better understand the numbers, "so others can freely concentrate on continuing to provide assistance to our community," said Andre.
When not crunching the numbers, Andre can most likely be found spending time with family, walking his dogs, or creating something tasty on the grill.
